Part of Nantwich Youth Festival!
The Lowe Ensemble presents Echoes of the Spanish Baroque, a journey through the music of 17th and 18th-century Spain and how it inspired Europe. Beginning in the glittering court of Louis XIV in France, moving through Italy, and finally returning to Spain and the Iberian Peninsula, this performance explores how Spanish style and spirit echoed across Europe.
The concert brings together many different vocal and instrumental works, including some newly adapted for the ensemble.
The music shows how different countries shared ideas, from elegant court music to earthy dances and peaceful sacred pieces.
